Mastered the art of oats.

Seriously, I wish we could all have a party with my bowls of oats as the community appetizer. It is by far the best bowl I’ve ever made. I added .5 cup oats, half cup almond rice milk. half cup water, 2 tbsp pumpkin butter, less that half cup pumpkin, 1 tbsp peanut butter and cinnamon. It is so creamy and wonderful. Poor Ellie is going bonkers over the smell.

Erin and I ran 7 miles this morning at 5:30. It was a slow and steady run, just as I like it. We’re getting really excited about the half since we’re making a weekend out of it. We’re heading to ME late Saturday afternoon to check in at the expo and get our bib and chip. We’ll relax and then head out for a nice (carb-filled) dinner. The race doesn’t start till 11 Sunday morning so we’ll get up early and take our time before the race. After we plan to grab lunch and check out the area, do some shopping, maybe catch a movie before heading back into the city. I like the make other things the main event, rather than just the run. It adds to the excitement and takes some pressure off.
