Learning to focus less on dieting and more on overall health and wellness

Boring post

It’s raining here in Boston so it smells like worms outside. Isn’t that such a bizarre thing? Please tell me you know what I’m talking about.

Moving on. I made something last night that could prove to be the end of me– Evan’s Coconut Oil Chocolate. I followed his directions then added some unsweetened coconut flakes. Instead of coconut oil I used coconut butter.  Oh my, it tasted like fudge. Len thought it was too rich but not me, oh not me. I took a picture of all the ingredients and barely shot the chocolate. I think I was too excited to eat it. Who do I think I am making my own chocolate????? That means is accessible at all times. Oy vey.

Len and I never ran yesterday, nor did we work out at all. I might drag myself to a power yoga class at my gym tonight. I love the teacher but the class doesn’t start till 7:50 which is pretty late for me. We shall see.

I packed some wonderful food for today in hopes that it keeps me away from the bins of hell. Breakfast will be Pineapple Chobani, the only flavor I love. I want to add something to it but don’t know what. Maybe some raw oats?  Lunch is yesterdays lunch from Zaftigs. I threw is some chopped up broccoli to bulk it up a little. In my bag of goods is also a Mojo bar and some gum for my 3 o’clock snack attack.

Sorry, nothing too exciting going on this morning. Off to face the day!!

  1. Lins- I TOTALLY get the worms thing! My mom and I decided only a select number of people can “smell worms” when its raining- we are two of them!

  6. you can ALWAYS smell worms in the springtime during a rain. I dont know how it is in where you are but here in Bucks County, Pa our homes are all built on old farms and when it rains millions and millions of worms overpopulate the streets and sidewalks it is seriously mad gross!!!

  9. Now you have use for the coconut butter! Sorry, I know what rain smells like, but not worms. I do however hate the rains that makes them ALL come out on the sidewalk. EWW!

  10. Gahhh homemade chocolate that tastes like fudge? I’m glad I don’t have the ingredients…it would disappear before I took a photo, too! Maybe try adding shredded coconut to the Chobani? Tropical theme 🙂 Have a great day!

  13. That’s the one thing I dislike about spring. When it rains there are worms everywhere. I am constantly waisting time trying to avoid stepping on them.

  14. I too thought I was the only wack-o who could smell worms on rainy days! Back in college the paths used to get covered in them- so gross. One day I even made the mistake of wearing sandals out in the rain. A worm slithered its way into my shoe as I was walking and I stepped on it and its guts squished all over the bottom of my foot- barf!
