Goodies Galore

Learning to focus less on dieting and more on overall health and wellness

Mondays are not cool.

I hate Sunday nights because anxiety about the upcoming work week seems to sneak in. I can remember back in grade school feeling the same way about going to school. Ugh. It always resolves itself come Monday morning once I’m at work and settled in. Does anyone else experience this?

We’re currently watching Funny People–it’s made me laugh a handful of times but I’m thinking it’s taking a turn for the worse. On a lighter note- my chili was pretty damn good. I do admit that my bread chunks were bigger than they needed to be. Oh well, I’m feeling really good about my eats today so no biggie. It’s amazing how much better I feel after only two days of eating well. It is truly amazing.

Not to rush things but this weekend cannot come soon enough. I’m heading to Vermont for two parties with my most of my closest friends. (I said most.) Vermont is where my heart is.

I grabbed another chunk after this.

Broke it all up as make shift croutons.

  5. That chili and bread looks awesome. Today is a total waste…I can only imagine the Monday feeling tomorrow after being completely off work since the 18th save for 3 hours a week ago. Eeek!

  8. I thought Funny People had a few good spots, but didn’t really enjoy it overall either šŸ˜‰

I used to always feel that way about Sundays too. But then I came up with a trick for myself! This will sound lame but hear me out. When I started to get that “I’m depressed to go to work tomorrow” feeling around 4:00, I just imagined that it was really a week night and I had just arrived home and had the WHOLE night ahead of me! Because, you know, that is how you feel on weeknights. Lame, right? It works for me though!
